7 pm Kardemimmit, all-female Kantele band, Finland
9 pm Christine Salem, the unique music of Reunion Island

5 pm Baladino, Ladino-language group from Israel
7 pm Krar Collective, music and dance from Ethiopia
9 pm Nomadic Massive, conscious hip hop from Canada,

1:30 pm Prusinowski Trio, actually a quintet playing Polish village dance
music with a touch of avant-garde improvisation.
3:30 pm DakhaBrakha, modern devotional music from Ukraine
5:30 pm Janka Nabay and the Bubu Gang, dance music from Sierra Leone's undisputed king of bubu music
7:30 pm Cristina Pato, rousing bagpipe from Spain

This September 2013 will mark the tenth Madison World Music Festival sponsored by the Union Theater at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This collection of twenty color photographs by Paula A.
